On Tuesday, June 9th, the State Legislature is holding a hearing about the Justice Reinvestment Act and ending Mandatory Minimum Sentencing. This is the first hearing on the bill, and our chance to demonstrate that this is important to voters. As a part of the Jobs Not Jails Coalition, alongside 130 community, faith-based, and labor organizations from around the state, we are determined to lift up the dignity of all our sisters and brothers and ensure that everyone has the opportunity to find just employment.

Now is the time to act! The momentum is on our side to make a huge difference in the lives of thousands across the state. Already yesterday, the Boston Globe pledged their support to repeal mandatory minimum sentences through an editorial in the Sunday paper.

Join us and the Jobs Not Jails Coalition for a short rally at 12:30PM, and a public hearing at 1PM at the State House in Boston. We're doing the work to build beloved community, and we need you there.
