The University is very pleased to present Speak Out and Listen In: A Teach-In On Building Community Power surrounding nationwide events related to the Ferguson and Staten Island grand jury decisions. The daylong program will be held on Tuesday, February 24th, 2015 from 9:00am – 4:25pm in the USF McLaren Conference Complex. Programming throughout the day will be aligned with the University class schedule, so that faculty may plan an entire class session around this teaching opportunity.

Students, staff and faculty that are interested in volunteering or participating in the event in a more meaningful way may contact the Office of Diversity Engagement & Community Outreach. We ask faculty interested in this teaching opportunity to bring their students and classes as participants.

A resource page has been created by Gleeson Librarians to provide teaching, reading, and supplemental materials in support of the USF Speak Out and Listen In on Building Community Power and Resisting Police Violence. This program is sponsored by the Office of the Provost.

The entire Teach-In will be live streamed the day of the event, starting at 9:00am.
